TYPES OF SHIP IN MERCHANT NAVY
In this module we are going to discuss about types of ship in the merchant navy proffesion.1- BULK CARRIER
The bulk carrier is also known as for bulk cargo vessel it is used to transport bulk cargo such as grains, coal, ore, cement, etc. The cargo holds are used store the cargo in bulk carrier vessel .this type of vessels are used carry semi solid forms.
2-TANKER SHIP
This type of ships are used to carry cruide oil from one port to another and this type of cargo are highly flamble in nature to prevent such type of this there is a fire triangle. It is not completely filled with cargo some part of tankers are also filled with inert gas.
3- CONTAINER SHIP
This type of are used to carry such which can be easily destroyed by weather and water. Such type of cargo are packed in a container and loaded on a ship and the ship which carry the containers from port to port is known as container ship.
4- LNG CARRIERS
This type of vessels are used to carry gases, LNG carriers have the spherical shape egg like structure to reduce the friction between the gas molecules to change there states mean gas to liquid and vice-versa. Because of friction heat is produce in drone and can cause distress also.
5- FPSO VESSEL
This type of vessels are used to gain cruide oil from the sea-bed . The full form of FPSO is floating production storage off boarding vessels. This ship is stable in sea for a long time to grain the cruide oil and off-load the cargo to other tanker ship.
